Heather Michelle Bjoershol has been immersed into fine art photography
since birth. Combining her passion for painting, and photography, her
unique style has emerged bringing you the finest in creative
portraiture.
In 2004 Heather competed with the professionals for the
first time and won Best Portrait of a Woman and Best Digital
Specialist at the Virginia Professional Photographer Association’s
annual convention. Her prints were among some of the top scores. In
2005, one of her prints was selected to be a part of the Professional
Photographers Association's annual and prestigious Loan Collection
that will be on display at the Austin Convention Center January 22-24,
2006 in Austin, TX. Another of her prints was accepted into the
General Book Collection. In Decemeber, 2005, two of her portraits,
“Little Miss“ and “Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman,“ were chosen for
Ballistic Publishing’s “Painter“ book. Among thousands of entrants
only a 135 artists were chosen to represent the world’s most talented
digital painters.
She has studied under the masters of the trade and has digitally
painted portraits for some of the most talented photographers in the
world. Heather’s passion comes out in her work. Her portraits are a
beautiful fusion of fine art and technical photography.
In her free time, Heather works on her computer fine tuning her
retouching skills and expanding her digital painting world from
inspirations such as John Singer Sargeant, Pino, Monet, Renoir, and
Leonardo Da Vinci.
Heather is a member of the PPA.
